Judge Barry L. Breslow was appointed to the Second Judicial District Court by Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval in April 2017. As the presiding judge in Department Eight, he hears both civil and criminal matters of general jurisdiction. In addition to his duties in Department Eight, Judge Breslow presides as the district's Arbitration Judge and serves as a member of the following committees: Budget Committee, Court Automated Enhancement Project, Court Statistics, and Civil Bench/Bar.

Judge Kathleen Drakulich was appointed to Department One of the Second Judicial District Court on June 30, 2017, by Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval. In addition to her duties as a general jurisdiction judge presiding over criminal and civil matters, Judge Drakulich has administrative oversight of the District Court's Foreclosure Mediation Program, serves as a Business Court Judge and on the Local Rules Committee and Criminal Bench/Bar Committee.
