Ethical conduct in the courtroom is a must.

Etiquette is essential for making a good impression in any situation. This is especially true in the courtroom, where there are many stated and unstated rules of conduct. Courtroom etiquette is also good ethical conduct.

In the seminar Judge Wiese will share his expectations in Department 30, explore the differences in the various courtrooms in the 8th Judicial district, and demonstrate how etiquette in the courtroom can impact your case.

You will learn:

  • Judge Wiese courtroom expectations
  • Best practices on recognizing and rectifiying mistakes before they happen
  • Strategies on how to remain civil and non-combative during arguments
  • Understanding how to best present your case while representing your client with dignity and respect

Experienced Speaker:

Since taking the bench in January of 2011, Judge Wiese has presided over numerous trials, both civil and criminal, and has presided over many settlement conferences. He loves serving the public as a District Court Judge, and is particularly fond of helping parties resolve their own cases through settlement conferences. He is committed to taking the bench on time, being prepared, treating all parties and attorneys with respect, and making fair and impartial decisions.
