@ EASE Free Legal Assistance for Nevada's Military
The Office of Military Legal Assistance program pairs members of the military community with pro bono attorneys to represent them in a variety of legal issues. The minimum requirement for attorneys to participate in the program is a 10 hour annual commitment and provides free legal representation for the following classifications of service members: qualified active duty, reserve, and National Guard. The program will offer a pro bono private attorney to service members for cases involving Service Members Civil Relief Act (SCRA), The Uniformed Services Employment and Re-employment Rights Act (USERRA), consumer/fraud, property/landlord, naturalization/immigration, creditor/debtor, and predatory lending. For veterans, the OMLA provides pro bono attorneys to draft wills and powers of attorney instruments. The program will also offer training and Law Day workshops to our military communities.
If you are interested in volunteering for this program, please visit nvagomla.nv.gov. If you prefer to work only in a certain area of law, please indicate your preference on the form. All forms that do not indicate a preference will be assumed as willing to work in any of the areas of law listed above. Thank you again for volunteering your time to help our military service members and veterans. Your time means much to those in great need of your assistance who have sacrificed so much for our state and nation.
